The Phone

Sitting in a lobby waiting. Done a lot of that recently. I look around. People fooling with their phones.

Old people. Young people. Fooling around on their phones. One guy has a charger plugged in. Twelve people. Ten phones.

More than phones. Don’t know why we still call them phones. Handheld computers that also make phone calls.

Mostly people are just fooling with their phones. A walking library, communication device.
