Is soil or dust (known as “earth” here) on any of the other planets known as a lowercase form of the planet’s name, such as digging up “mars” on Mars?

Here’s the deal. If you say Earth it’s capitalized. If you say “the earth” it’s not. If “the” appears before the planet’s name it’s not capitalized. If “the” does not appear, it’s capitalized. Similarly, “a lot of earth” is not capitalized, but a “planet like Earth” is capitalized.

So Earth has a lot earth on it and Mars is well, another planet.
