What is YOUR favorite Linux/BSD Desktop Environment?

What’s your favorite Linux Desktop Environment (DE)?

There is something you can’t do in Windows, and that’s change your DE. Well, I hear you can install KDE on your Windows machine, but it’s not the same.

Linux and now the BSD operating systems have many classy and efficient desktop environments (DE’s). There are some big ones out there that are very popular, and then there are the less popular ones, or less used ones, and even some extremely minimalist ones and some buggy ones.

The following list is not all encompassing. There will be some DE’s I don’t mention that you might like. So which one do YOU like? Vote in the comment section below.

Gnome, Xfce, Mate, Cinnamon, LXDE, Enlightenment, LXQt, Budgie, Razor-qt, Lumina, KDE Plasma, UDE, Rox Desktop, EDE, KDE Software Compilation BSD licenses, Mezzo, GNUstep, Trinity, Sugar, MoonlightDE and Project Looking Glass.
